Why is the feast of Christmas more important than when Jesus was conceived, or The Incarnation?
Because at the birth Jesus was now on earth. Also, because Christmas is so commercialized, it’s been made out to be the most important holiday of the year, even more important than Easter! But truthfully, Easter is the most important holiday of the year. People just tend to put more focus on Christmas. Why is the feast of Christmas more important than when Jesus was conceived, or The Incarnation?

While the Annunciation primarily focusses on the conception of Christ and Christmas on His birth, both are feasts of the Incarnation. The mystery of the incarnation itself is definitely a major liturgical theme during Christmastide. This is clear from the liturgical texts. We are celebrating the public event of His birth, but also the mystery of the incarnation.
It depends on how you define “important”.Why is the feast of Christmas more important than when Jesus was conceived, or The Incarnation?
No, the Immaculate Conception refers to the conception in the usual physical human way of Our Lady, but in which her soul was cleansed from Original Sin by the applying of the effect of Jesus dying on the Cross even though that was still in the future. It depends on how you define “important”.
There are some Latin-American Countries where The Immaculate Conception (when Jesus was conceived) has a much greater celebration than the Nativity (when Jesus was born).
