When does life begin? I mean…eternal life?

If life (Physical) begun with Adam and Eve, when does life in the spiritual begin or is there a birth in the spiritual?

Or… is there two beginnings?

I mean, can one go back into the mothers womb and again be re-birthed?

What is it about this verse that begs the question: “is this a two part thing”?
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water (Part 1)and of the Spirit,(Part 2) he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Can we then say that a birth of water is the physical birth,(First birth) the beginnings of the flesh and that the birth in the spirit is the second birth (the real beginnings of life eternal)?

Did not Jesus say: Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Did Jesus mean that we could be born again while yet in the flesh?

If yes, how do we do that?

And…if we are born again, does it mean that we could also loose our rebirth condition, once we have been born again?

Would it mean that one could be born again, unborn again, born again, unborn again in an endless cycle?

Or would you think that once we are born again it is for keeps?

And if it is for keeps, then life really begins, for this new life will never end as promised by God?

Luk 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

And Jesus said: Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God is in Jesus,…can we see Him as our God?

Man is born into Original Sin. Baptism is the “Born Again” you are referring to.

When satan, said Eve; “you will know what it is like”. What he was really saying is you will be conscious of good and evil and sin, temptation etc which God spared them in Creation.

So God has been calling man into communion with himself since Adam and Eve. For the large part through Free-Will man refuse’s.

When your born again it is for keeps. In reality your soul then becomes Gods. But you’ll still have free will to do wrong or sin.

Yes unless you are Baptised there in no Heaven. Your not getting there by chance.

Being born again is in the flesh.

Christ lived on Earth many seen Him. Christ is the only one who has His Fathers face that we know of. I can’t speak for those around Him, I’m not there.

Two questions for you on your response above.
  1. Born into “original Sin”, was that willingly or unwillingly?
  2. Baptism, is that the point where life eternal begins, and if it does, can one still loose one’s soul?
When satan, said Eve; “you will know what it is like”. What he was really saying is you will be conscious of good and evil and sin, temptation etc which God spared them in Creation.
  1. Do you think the gift, or rather the ability to know good from evil was a sin? “you will know what it is like”?
Would you say that that was “original”?
  1. Do you really think God spared them by God having placed the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the garden? One would think that to be spared would be having God not place that tree in the garden, you know what I mean?
So God has been calling man into communion with himself since Adam and Eve. For the large part through Free-Will man refuse’s.
That is gospel!

  1. Yes, for keeps!
  2. Yes, God purchased and nothing to do with mankind’s attempts.
  3. And yes, the still ability to choose between good and evil is an ever present gift of God that separates us from Him as separate entities, as gods as the verse states: Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Would you say that gaining knowledge is what separates us from God, makes us independent of God, or in other worlds, dead spiritually as what is considered the “original sin”?

Can a baby by knowledge gained understand that he or she is a separate entity apart from God necessitating a rebirth to again become a child of God rather than of man?
Yes unless you are Baptized there in no Heaven. Your not getting there by chance.
Baptized as in by water? Or baptized as in submerged in the word of God?

Which of the two would you say would constitute a rebirth condition?

Would you say that the “tree of Life” is also a tree of knowledge?

Why was it withheld from mankind?

Would you say that God re-introduced the “tree of Life” to mankind at a later time in human history as Jesus?

And can we say, having full knowledge, comprehension and understanding of “the tree of life” would constitute immersion into the waters of the word of God, as fruit of that tree to explain the following verse: Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Do you suppose an infant can put forth it’s hand in knowledge and understanding reaching out to eat of the fruit of the tree of life?

Would you say, after the explanation above that the condition for a rebirth requires an understanding of knowledge gained and the wisdom to choose life?

Those were just somethings to ponder.

Everyone since Adam + Eve are born into Original Sin.

Baptism isn’t eternal life. Eternal life begins at death of the flesh. Baptism is the consecration of the Soul to God. Without this you’ll still have eternal life, but it won’t be with God. In other words your Soul will continue, in one place or another. But not with God if the Soul isn’t consecrated Supernaturally to Him in Baptism.

The sin, was not obeying the word of God. And the consequence was the twisted fate of satans words. Which God knew.

God spared them from the get-go. Adam didn’t know he was naked or didn’t feel shame till he ate the fruit. But you can rest assure the magnitude of his choice in Free-Will was clearly known when God arrive if not right after they ate the fruit.

God could have done whatever He chose. But then He would have robots following because He made them that way. He’s saying, I am the way the truth and the life. And then its your choice to follow or not. He won’t remove the free will. You have to realize this life is a drop of water in an ocean. Its a flashing moment in time. Then its gone. Then what? Pay for eternity for a one minute party?

All children are of God, they are pure love. Did you know that man is the only creature that quickly forgets his origin at a very early age? All animals know exactly what they are and where they belong, and never forget. Exept Man. He quickly forgets.

Gained knowledge has nothing to do with following God or satan. Free-Will, you chose to believe or not. You’ll either serve God or satan. Or become one of the seriously delusional and believe there is no God, in which case you serve stan anyway. Simply because remaining unknown and disbelieved has been one of his greatest attributes.

Baptized in the Father, Son and HS with Holy Water. Which is BIble also.

Adam and Eve hooked us up lovely didn’t they? There wasn’t anything withheld. It was there for them to freely eat. They should have asked God about it and not a serpent.

No, Jesus is the Son of God, and fulfilled the messianic prophecys of the OT. And he didn’t come to stop sin or wage war. He came to fulfill the prophecy and Redeem man.

Genesis 3:22 in misinterpreted as is the Word of God. You should do a thread just on that. The tree of life is Gods commandments

The baby is born of sin, though is an innocent and hasn’t committed a sin because they are not conscious of rational thinking. Eating the fruit would only place him in the position he is already in.

I would say after listening to your thinking and Sola Scriptura understanding, You need the RCIA.

Now thats really something to think about.🙂

Where then would you say rebirth takes place, here or there, and with what understanding?

What would you say this verse means: Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

“to keep the way of the tree of life” means? Away from Adam and Eve by a flaming sword? As like in withheld?
“The sin, was not obeying the word of God”
Sin is a transgression : Rom 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Therefore sin is a transgression of the law: a trespass.

What Adam and Eve were, was a picture of us all, separate entities at the time of understanding, the gaining of knowledge making of ourselves our own god, able to choose between good and evil, thus the transgression, thus sin.

Eternal life can start here right now or, like you said, at death.

Now as in:Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

So, now is the time “to live” not as in the flesh, but as to God by faith in His Son.

That translates, a rebirth.

I skimmed over a little bit and would like to read more as time permits.

I will retain these links for reference. Thank you.

There is one thing though, for your thoughts, and that is one single scripture verse Rom. 12-10.

I am of the view that, that one verse hinge the object of the whole of God’s works, and that the rest of the bible is the fill in of that one picture.
