Monkey bars were very real, and loads of fun. Doing loop a loops on the swings were too.

Yes indeedy doo. That was loads of fun too as long as the chores were done first.
 
I find it hard to believe that was at a school. Even for back then, the parents would have been flipping out. A boy could easily break his leg falling from that height, if not worse.

Just saying. I still am curious and not 100% certain though.

I would like to get a source for that picture. I found the youtube video. It is quite interesting. It might be German- like for youth corps or something under National Socialism.

It’s a mystery. I would have liked it, but I think it would scared even me a little bit. 😮

It’s not super high I guess. I think i was misjudging the distance. But it’s fairly high.

Anyways, how else could those boys learn to build structures like the empire state building. That is so cool to see those guys up a 1000 feet in the air sitting on the I beam eating their lunch. lol
