I think I should further expound on the last few posts I’ve made. It has become more and more clear to me that some of the issues presented here are deeply personal and serious, and that some poster, no names…just some poster…have what appear to me to have issues (emotional and/or mental) that are far beyond the expertise of this board. While I encourage all of us to continue our free exchange and debate of ideas, I feel the need to reinforce for everyone here that this is a place to get the opinions of true amateurs…not that this makes us any less devoted, or that we’ve put less thought into the circumstances…but we are, by and large, giving lay opinions…and that these issues need to also be addressed with a competent authority be that priest or counselor. I don’t mean AMATEUR as an insult. There’s a saying that goes something like this…ask 6 Rabbis and you’ll get 13 opinions…I just want to remind everyone that there are more (usually unqualified) opinions here than there are posters…and I list myself in that category.
