Life support to be taken from baby tonight. Praying for a miracle.

This evening I heard on my local news in upstate New York that a dad shook his baby, and threw it on a bed. First I heard the baby is not expected to make it through the night, then I heard that they are going to take the baby off life support tonight.

Please pray for all concerned.

A 26-year-old Troy man is facing a charge of attempted murder after his four-month-old baby was diagnosed with shaken baby syndrome, police said Tuesday.

Adrian Thomas was arraigned in Troy City Court Tuesday morning after his infant, Matthew Thomas, was determined to have sustained significant brain damage due to trauma to the head.

Hospital officials contacted Rensselaer County Child Protective Services Sunday after the discovery, said Troy Police Assistant Chief Richard McAvoy.

Matthew, who is a twin, remains in the hospital. Matthew’s twin brother and their five siblings have been taken into custody by Rensselaer Child Protective Services.

The mother was not at home at the time of the incident and so far has not been charged, police said.

Thomas is reported to be 500 pounds, said McAvoy."

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Praying for all concerned, especially that tiny innocent baby.
 
The baby is now in God’s loving arms. He passed away this morning.

Thank you all very much for your prayers.

Dear Lord open your arms and embrace this child as he enters heaven . Lord comfort the parents and family and relatives and heal the wound of this tragic loss for each of them .
