When "life"gets too heavy,Jesus said:My(His)yoke is easy and My(His)burden is light.I don’t mean to give a simplistic answer but most of life’s problems have a way of working themselves out.Our Lord will help shoulder any burden.Peace

If an impossible goal? life seem so dire

Hi Freeman.May I ask, what impossible goal.We all suffer at times.Suffering can be used to streangthen us emotionally and spiritually,or we can allow life’s problems(which are temporary),to rob us of our joy.The things we suffer are no comparison to the joy of meeting our Saviour face to face one day.The joy of seeing our loved ones again. The joy of never being tempted, rejected, sick,.heartaches will no longer hurt us.But know also we can have joy and peace in this life.We have good friends, people on this forum are a good example of family. They’ll love you, pray for you and yes even smack you in the head when you need a smacken:D .Peace.Rocky.

Can you find one thing to thank God for…
can you find anything to feel thankful for
can you think of anyone who has been kind to you at any time in your life… ?
is there any little thing you feel thankful for…?
any kind word, smile, even any food or any creature…?

Being thankful, for any little good that happens…
this is a way we can grow into a happier and more peaceful perception of life.

The problems are probably still there, with the heartaches and disappointments. They’re still there, usless we or others can find ways to change them,
but we can learn to be lighter of heart if we are thankful for any good thing however small and fleeting.

Five years ago my dh was told he would not live another ten years due to a genetic condition. Due to the genetic condition he found out he was the product of an extramarital affair. He couldn’t even walk ten feet across a room. His marriage was in shambles and his wife was trying to start an affair with his boss. Well, let’s fast forward. He came back to the Church, was confirmed. Started doing the right things, putting one foot in front of the other, trusting God instead of himself, worrying about being an inspiration to others instead of who was to be an inspiration to him. HIs terminal diagnosis was removed two years ago. He took a national silver medal in his sporting event and still continues a professional career in his athletic field. We were just married sacramentally after a fourteen month engagement. He has found a good and trusting relationship with my own parents and we just bought a house in the Florida keys.

My point?

Nothing is so bad that it can’t get better. a lot better. Monumentally better.

So-
  1. Pray
  2. Go to Mass
  3. Finish confirmation if you have not
  4. Start looking for someone to be an inspiration to
  5. Put one foot in front of the other
God bless and choose life,
