In my Protestant days, I would have attached great spiritual significance to the odd weather pattern that hit Madrid yesterday during the Pope’s talk.

What’s your take on this type of thing?

Act of God?

Satan trying to thwart God?

Absolutely no significance whatsoever–just the weather of the day?

Either - neither - or and./or nor.

The Holy Father asked the young people to pray and…the storm desisted.

On the same topic - did you notice that at the moment of the Eucharistic Adoration there was no rain and no wind?
However, as soon as the Eucharistic Adoration was concluded…it started to rain again.

Satan can’t control lightening. He’s confined to the lameness of the netherworld.

Weather. The Atlantic Ocean is notorious for bad weather this time of year. Hurricanes originate a few hundred miles south of that area. Anyone who has sailed the eastern Atlantic Ocean anywhere near Spain or Portugal can tell you about the unpredictability of the weather in the late summer months. Storms are frequent. Frankly, I was surprised that the Vatican chose this venue at this time of year because of it.

Just weather. If God wanted to tell us something I think He’d get it done so there’d be no room for doubt.
