I would be careful how you word that. I think in ordinary cases, baptism is a requirement, which God has put in place for us. I think in extraordinary circumstances, He can “bend” the rules, to the extent that the ordinary way (baptism) was unavailable.

As I said… that was just my personal opinion (and I wonder why I have to be careful in my wording on that one). I just added it, maybe as a disclaimer.
Other than that I think there is an even dispute in here because there hasn’t been a clear statement from the Church on the topic of Limbo.

I think some people misunderstand what is meant by “ordinary” vs. “extraordinary” means of salvation. The ordinary means of baptism is by water. An extraordinary reception would be by desire. Either way, the sacrament is received and without this sacrament’s reception, one cannot

Babies who die in the womb, wouldn’t that be different for babies who were born, and then died! Life begins at conception, so if a baby dies shortly after being concieved, that is still a life that has died, but I don’t think it would be the same for a baby to be born, and out of the womb that should have been baptized.

I would like to put the subject of Limbo and take it from the point of view on what we know from the “mind” of God through His beloved Son Jesus–from Scripture and the "private “Novena” of Jesus given to St.Faustina–revealling His Divine Mercy.

From St.Marks Gospel Ch.10 verses 13-16
People were bringing little children to him,for him to touch them.The disciples turned them away,but when Jesus saw this he was indignant and said to them,"Let the little children come to me;do not stop them;for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.I tell you solemnly ,anyone who does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.“Then he put his arms round them,laid his hands on them and gave them his blessing.”

By all means babies should be baptized ASAP after birth or in danger of death—but does not the above give a hope that “**the heavenly’Fathers’ favorites”**who die in the mothers womb or aborted or children dying before reaching the age of reason without Baptism that they too are in Heaven?? :angel1:

I also could have added what Jesus said about leading "his Favorites"astray and how the angels of babies & children are constantly before Him in Heaven–but you know all this!!
