Hi,
We’ve spoken about many forms of irreverence during Mass and the reception of Holy Communion—cell phones, hand held games, noisey toys, food and drink, crying children, talking or fidgeting in general, etc, but I’ve never seen lipstick discussed here. I’ve often heard the linen ladies say it is very difficult to remove from the linens.
What do you think of wearing heavy lipstick and receiving Holy Communion by mouth or receiving the Precious Blood? I feel it is very irreverent to use sacred vessels and linens in this manner.
