Likewise a majority of Catholics have no problem with it. Why don’t you boycott…oh, hang on…that wouldn’t work…

What happens when you go out shopping?

‘This is just the shirt I was looking for. Could you tell me how much and whether your shop supports SSM?’

‘Hi, my brakes need fixing. But before you do them, could you tell me if your auto shop supports SSM?’

‘You’re going to need a filling there, Birdy’
‘Well, let’s discuss your position on the recent Supreme Court first’.

‘Two beers thank. Assuming, of course, that this establishment does not support SSM’.

‘Excuse me waiter. Could you tell me if the constituent parts of this excellent looking pizza were obtained from companies that do not support SSM?’

It is easier than you think depending where you live. I’ve begun shopping at local supermarkets that are family oriented even though it costs more. I’m also shop online from several catalogue companies. The large companies won’t care, but I do. For clothing, since I’m retired I shop at second hand stores, so yes it’s possible for some things. We never do eat out much and have never got coffee at Starbucks so that’s easy. We buy generic ice cream, so we’ve never bought ice cream from Ben and Jerrys. I don’t use Tide, also use generic for most others. I’ve always bought generic since it’s cheaper.

I’m just a little confused as to what difference any kind of boycott will make now that the law is enforce? We are not a theocracy, and companies wish to support CIVIL RIGHTS for their customers and employees - where’s the problem?🤷

The problem is not that the companies just want to support civil rights, but that some actively promote the image of homosexuality, like the case of Chobani. This ruling did not happen in a vacuum. It took decades of many individuals promoting this shift of culture where pleasure an happiness become our God.

Many, most-- I’m thinking *all *-- the people and companies and media who support same-sex marriage, also support “traditional” marriage.

It’s not a question of being on one side or the other.

They support both to exist, together, in harmony.

.
I don’t think 90%+ of companies “support” or “oppose” either, for any reason, other than to make money and appeal to the broadest customer base possible. Chick Fil A and Ben and Jerry’s are notable exceptions. That’s just the way it is. It’s called capitalism.

Yes, thats capitalism, but ones personal beliefs are supposed to come first, anything less, makes you a mindless robot who only cares about money, believes in nothing, only money…thats pathetic.

I have to assume God couldnt care less about capitalism either, I think he would tell these people to worry more about the state of their own souls rather than something of this world. once you are dead, its all gone, it means nothing, if money was your life, then your life was nothing.

I’m sorry, but didn’t people have a fit when there were calls to boycott businesses who did not want to be compelled to participate in same-sex marriages, because we should all have the right to freedom of conscience? How is this any different?

I’m working hard to become a well-informed, well-educated Christian, but I just don’t see the Christian spirit in this kind of action. I won’t retaliate against people because I disagree with their actions. Jesus sat with the sinners, and so will I, in the hopes that my charitable spirit will move them to see what God can do in their lives.
Jesus also upturned tables when he had to!
