Except for Catholics, because they’re given an authority to interpret/apply Christ’s teachings in light of Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. The ramifications of that, if looked at globally, are something.E) None of the above, because it is not specific about the sense in which the bread and wine were the body and blood. This is why all of the various opinions have existed among Christian groups who were all trying to follow Scripture.
Having said that, you seem to have quite missed what is going on here. The OP requested Fundamentalist and Evangelical traditions. What I posted is the one of the most significant sources of those, and is not a validation of the claims of the Confession itself.
I see a Fundamentalist Bible and celebration of the Last Supper as a matter of Tradition as well. And we broached the subject of interpretation and validity of these traditions in various posts (4,5,20,19, 32…).
