If one is not downloading music that is not posted by the label or the band itself but only listening to it, is that still immoral?

The last time (an hour ago) I watched a music video of a Japanese group I was under the impression that it would be okay as long as I wasn’t downloading it (then again, before that, I thought watching all unofficial videos were sinful).
I’ve tried looking for the answers here but there was never a consensus over wether or not it was sinful or not (let alone mortal or venial). So once and for all, is there an actual answer to this?

If you are bothered by this, I have to wonder if you are unnecessarily torturing yourself with more serious matters as well. God wants us to live decently, but he wants us to enjoy life too.

As long as you aren’t downloading and selling copies, I wouldn’t give it a minute’s worry!
Be at peace!
God Bless

It is no different than watching a group play music on T V .

I know who a lot of the the musicians are that are playing the Irish and Scottish music on there. I have contacted some of them.

yes, a serious mortal sin. You must buy the cd!

–kidding…you cant be serious with your question

It’s not a sin to listen to music on youtube.

It’s the same as radio’s music, stop listening to that?

Japanese music is cool too.

I don’t think so, it’s like the radio :), plus some songs it says were you can download the music(not free you pay such as amazon or itunes).

you don’t have to listen to it, but look a black rectangle box pops up and shows the song name and how to buy it. And if its illgeal it gets removed, however…I know some bands that are not allowed on but they arent removed(if its just a blank screen or a music video) but if that “illgeal” song is with a video of gameplay from a game its deleted.
