Listening to your Confessor

This is a question I have been wondering a lot about recently. Should people always obey their Confessor? Should they always obey their Confessor even when he gives them advice outside of the Sacrament of Confession?
 
Are you suffering from scruples?

Listen to your confessor and do as he says. Posting to this forum is not likely to help you overcome your scruples.
 
Yes FCS, you have chosen him no doubt, due to some measure of trust. Listen to his words.
 
Is it sound advice? In general, I would definitley trust my confessor’s advice for my life.
