Literally taking on someone else's pain/suffering

Has anyone ever ‘felt’ another’s suffering after praying to remove/absorb someone else’s, and at the same time, the other person said that theirs was removed? Are there saints that have had this experience? Healing?

Example:
Your spouse has shoulder pain/stomach pain. You pray for his suffering to be eased, even offering to take it on yourself, especially if your spouse has something important to be done that could be affected adversely by their specific pain/suffering.

That afternoon, inexplicably, you have that same pain, and your spouse calls to tell you it has ceased for him, just in time for him to complete the needed tasks.

I’m familiar with ‘offering up’ your pain and suffering for specific or general intentions, but haven’t read much about this: absorbing someone else’s pain specifically for their benefit.
 
One time, Pope John Paul II was on one of his World Youth Day pilgrimages and asked for prayers that he would have enough strength during the trip. So I prayed while I was attending Mass to take just a moment of his pain. Instead of pain, I felt joy while my knees felt weak. Apparently I felt the joy that Pope John Paul II was experiencing at World Youth Day. Since it was near Communion time, I then prayed that I would be able to stand and walk to receive Communion, and I did.
 
I had that experience praying for someone but did not ask the person I prayed about their experience.
May God have mercy upon the sick and the suffering.
Amen.
