They were founded to meet local needs in Lithuania. When Soviet oppression and persecution became the norm, the sisters went underground. Once the Soviet occupation ended, the sisters were able to do good work openly.
They conduct three institutions in the US, mainly in CT. Here is the link to the Immaculate Conception Spirituality Center. The page regarding their founder also shows the sisters.
