Bunny, at 21 you’re too young for a hysterectomy, especially as there are other ways…I have PCOS, weigh 19 stone and have an incompetent cervix (no problem, as long as the doctors KNOW: mine was just stitched shut! I didn’t even go into labour naturally, again: c-section, no problem!) I have 2 beautiful daughters, aged 3 and 5.
Honestly, there ARE ways, and there are solutions…a hysterectomy at your age would send your body into menopause, you’d most likely get depressed once you meet someone and realise you can’t have kids…honestly, there are better ways!
Where in the UK are you? Google your Diocesan website and they tend to have info on pro-life organisations who’ll also know doctors and specialists they can put you in touch with. Failing that, try ‘SPUC’ in London Colney, St Albans, my husband worked there 2 years and says that although they specialise in saving the unborn from abortion, they have information on ANYTHING to do with reproduction and pregnancy. Give it a try, please…and find a more ‘humane’ GP…the NHS-surgery you’re at must have a couple more working there, one of them ought to know his/her stuff!
Prayers for you and don’t give up!!!
