Thank you each and everyone for praying for Rae. It has worked, believe me, it has truly worked. Rae’s step mama came back to work this past week from having her little baby boy. I asked her about Rae. She said Rae has such a grasp on her diabetes that she already understands somewhat the watching of carbs. Such as a plate of french fries. Rae was given a plate of fries at a dinner they were attending, and Rae would not begin eating them until she got an okay from her step-mama! Amazing. She has already began at just 4 years of age of being quite independent with her challenge of diabetes. Her step-mama says Rae pronounces it iabetes, without the “d” in front of it. Rae is so precious, I have seen her many times when her step mama would bring her in to visit us. Blonde curls and blue eyes. Such a cutie! Thanks again for the prayers. I have told Rae’s step-mama how wonderful you folks are and your prayers are so thoughtful and kind. 🙂

The fact that Rae has diabetes is something the whole family will grow acustomed to. She will learn from the doctors and nurses how to check her own blood sugars and tell how she is feeling when she has a high blood glucose or a low blood glucose. Diabetes is tricky, I can attest to that I’ve been diabetic for 27 years now, and everyday is like the first day of diagnosis…you want to figure out what you have to do to control it, do it, and hope that it works out in your favor. I will pray that Rae has success in her life to treat her diabetes and herself properly so that she may live a long and happy life.
