Little indecencies

A woman I knew who was mentally disabled has died, and her family and the people who took care of her shared stories from her life. She could be really really funny but (due to her disability) also wuiete indecent.
I told my Mom about a “funny” incident where she did something a bit indecent. I didn’t think that particular story was all that funny, but I told it anyway because it belonged to a trip they did that I wanted to tell my Mom about.
Did I sin because I mentined the indecency?

Be on the safe side and go to Confession.
 
It doesn’t sound like you’ve sinned to me (venial perhaps). I’d bring it up the next time you were in confession. 🙂
 
I myself don’t think it was mortal. I am planning to go to mass this evening and I won’t get to confession before that… I hope that is ok???

It was more of a funny story that they shared about the woman.
The indecency was that she suddenly, unexpectedly touched a man somewhere where she shouldn’t… I didn’t use any bad words. I just told the story.

I worried a lot because it was important to me to tell my Mom something about the trip they did, and I just used that story because it was the only one I remembered (I think there was another, funnier one, but I forgot).
I kind of wanted my Mom to know that they went on that trip because it was one I would have loved to go on too. 🙂

Then I started worrying about using such a story for a pretext to tell a different story… 😦 And again, like so often, it started mixing up in my mind with things I enjoy, like for example you would ask yourself, if thinking about a trip makes you tell such a story, does that mean you shouldn’t travel anymore because it leads you to sin??? Something like that.
Wondering if that is just my crazy brain again or if there was really sin involved.

AND NOW I AM WORRIED BECAUSE I MENTIONED THE STORY here! It might cause more problems. Arghhhhh!! I reported it to the moderator, to take out the details…

Relax, Kathrin. I don’t think you’ve sinned at all. Don’t let your scrupulosity get the better of you.
