Well, maybe not “little know” to everyone, but do any of you have an affinity for a saint not many people know of?

I recently came across information on St Apollonia:

catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=104

I found her particularly interesting because over the last (almost) two years, I’ve had terrible problems with grinding my teeth in my sleep due to stress from my mother’s illness and her death. I have had to get a couple of crowns due to the damage. Needless to say, it’s not only uncomfortable and painful, it’s been expensive.

Anyway, that’s what has drawn me to her.

My wife has the same affliction and she obtained a molded mouth-guard that fixed any further damage to her teeth. Well worth thinking about. A bit uncomfortable at first, but worth it in the end.God Bless

Praying with you.

I love St. Apollonia.

O Glorious Apollonia, patron saint of dentistry and refuge to all those suffering from diseases of the teeth, I consecrate myself to thee, beseeching thee to number me among thy clients. Assist me by your intercession with God in my daily work and intercede with Him to obtain for me a happy death. Pray that my heart like thine may be inflamed with the love of Jesus and Mary, through Christ our Lord. Amen. O My God, bring me safe through temptation and strengthen me as thou didst our own patron Apollonia, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thanks DeniseNY,
I chipped off a chunk of my tooth today eating a
bar of hard almond candy!
St. Apollonia, pray for us!

Saint Anthony Mary Claret

"The death of the just: Death will reach everyone, the good and the bad; but the destiny of each one is quite different. The just man sees himself in this valley of tears as a prisoner, serving a very hard term. He considers himself a slave in this world, suffering an extremely distressing servitude. He regards himself a sailor caught in a horrible storm. And as death means an end of his confinement, an end of his slavery, and is the port of his salvation, he ceases not to cry with David, ‘Woe is me that my sojourning is prolonged!’ (Ps. 119:5)… He ceases not to ask with the Apostle’… Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? (Rom. 7:24)”
-The Golden Key to Heaven, by Saint Anthony Mary Claret

You’re in my prayers.
