Hi all! I am hoping to be enrolled in the brown scapular very soon and was wondering about the Little Office, I have ordered one on-line, but it is going to take a long time to get to me. Is this an OK one to use for the time being? laudatedominum.net/files/lobvm.pdf

Also, how much of the office should be prayed at minimum for the obligation?

Thanks for your time!

From my experience that would be the whole office unless you have it reduced or commuted. I recommend having permission to fulfil it with either of the breviaries or a rosary. I got permission to say just Lauds, Vespers and Compline from the Divine Office, or the Little Office or to say the Rosary.

Where do you attain the permission from?
