So I just have a couple of questions for everyone.

How would you give someone little signs or hints of love?
You know, just give someone a little hint of how you feel without coming right out and saying it.

Perhaps a little something to say during a conversation, just to show how much you think about the person, and maybe inspire a little reciprocating behavior :blushing:

I’m a hopeless romantic, and I think little hints like that ARE romantic. I’d REALLY love to hear stories from married or single people on here about their experience in this particular matter.
Some may know why I’m asking this, and all you others…consider yourself lucky and don’t ask!! 😃

😛

:hmmm:

Alas, I don’t really have any suggestions for you. (I’m very inexperienced in this area, lol) 😃

But, I’m going to camp out here and wait to see what other people say!!

🍿

As a man, I must say that the most “romantic” thing you can do, especially if you are single, is just to listen to the other person, ask questions, and be truly interested in what they are saying. There is nothing more flattering than to ask another person more about what they just said and look forward to the answer.

If you really want to put yourself out there, be attentive to their needs. Open the door for them, make eye contact and smile. When the opportunity arises, really go way out of your way to show how much you’re willing to sacrifice for that person. I think you’ll know it when you see it.

I’d invite you to check out my blog at bonumteesse.blogspot.com and join in on the discussions. I am recently married and have been so blessed to have the most amazing wife on this earth. In particular, I’d like you to check out my recent reflection on “vocation.” You can find it here: bonumteesse.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-rachel-vocation.html.

Yep, I get all of that!
I really like talking like that, and its definitely a romantic thing to do.
As well as occasionally slipping some hints in there…lol

(Winging it is romantic, too, right? :p)

Eye contact…sigh…I love eye contact 😃

Thanks for the links, I’ll take a look!

I agree. I just started seeing a guy and i like the fact that he pays attention to me. He knows that Animal Farm is one of my favorite books so he is re-reading it. And he went out of his way to ride the metro train to come to my school to bring me a piece of cake. He only stayed for about 5 mintues before he had to leave to go back to work. It was such a nice gesture It made my whole day…heck it has made my week. I’ve never had a guy do such sweet things.

i think you both have to make efforts. i compliment him and i try to take care of his needs. I like to make sure he has a drink and try to do little kind things for him.

That’s sweet, seriously.

Visits like that are definitely awesome. My brother-in-law did the same kind of thing when he was dating my sister.

Its definitely a two way street, and its an amazing feeling to have someone that thinks about your needs while you’re thinking of his/hers.

I’ll tell you one little story…This young woman I know (Interpret that any way you want) was talking to me once at Church. I forgot where I parked my car, and she said “Oh, over there.”
“How did you know that?” I asked,
“I always know where it is.”

Now, that’s nothing HUGE, but it was sweet that she looks for my car when she gets there, and obviously likes to know I’m there. 😛

Many more stories where that came from…

P.S. Dont make fun of me for enjoying every little hint she gives me!!! 😃

Love is for children.

Adults don’t talk about love they talk about exchanging wants and needs.

That is, BUSINESS is an adult world. If you want love, then you never got over childhood. Yes, I know that great feeling of unrequited love-- but your parents didn’t want sex from you! You WANT something… you have talk business.

I don’t know any SMART women who will exchange their body for sexual/romantic wishes from the opposite sex. They WILL do it for money/commitment (a.k.a marriage).

What an awful view of love!

Dear, don’t pay any attention to him! He doesn’t know what he is talking about!

You just be your sweet self and she can’t help but fall in love with you!!

I agree. That comment was completely out of place. None of us where talking about the physical act of intamcy. We were talking about the showing of love through little acts.

I try to tell my girlfriends all the time who get mad that there boyfirends don’t give them flowers or they don’t do whatever they have in their minds that hollywood has told them that “romantic men” should do with these big grand love gestures…instead you need to look at what he does for you. Does he open the doors, does he know what you like to drink at dinner and order for you, does he know he make sure your favorite food/fruit is around, etc…There are tons of little things that men do for women to show their afection and love. Those little things matter more than any amount of physical sex. After all even after you get married its not like the physically is the only way to show love. The little things still matter.

Remember God gave us hope, fatih and love and the greatest of these is love. Why??? Well in heaven you don’t need hope or faith because you are in god’s presecene but you still have love. Love is the one thing you will do forever. Its the one thing that transends time and your physically body so don’t dismiss it as something you don’t need!

Bell–Enjoy this time with your women friend. It sounds like she is showing you signs that she would be interested in getting to know you better. Glad to see that guys too get a little googlely over girls. 😃

Hmm…I don’t see his post…Oh well. I don’t agree with him either.

I’ll try 😉

That’s good stuff right there! I hadn’t even thought of love THAT far into the future! Wow

Physical love is just one facet of the jewel of marriage. To me, the emotional aspect of marriage (and the relationship leading to it) is most important to me. And that is fueled by romance on both sides, as well as the little things you do for each other, even if they’re not accompanied by romance, or the FEELING of love.
I’ve been raised to value that…Yes…I know its odd for a guy, lol

Oh I know she’s interested. 😛
its a long story! Don’t ask! This is a HAPPY topic! And its not about me!!
