Ah yes…David Eddings is just awesome. LOLwell, my fellow David Eddings fan,
due to the lack of prophetically decided mates, I am still single, and I don’t really have a lot of stories to contribute.
However, one thing that I see my parents do to each other, is simply to help each other with things the other feel is important. For example, my mom thinks having a clean and tidy house is very important, and she cannot relax properly until it is clean and tidy, so my stepdad does his share of the housework without having to be nagged to do it. He, on the other hand, really likes to watch the football matches with his favorite team, so my mom lets him control the tv or even plan on going out with friends those nights, so he can enjoy watching without feeling like he’s ignoring her.
(I think the reason why I haven’t found someone yet is because not only do I want a guy like my stepdad, but I want him to be Catholic too! It seems like the only Catholic guys who do the dishes without complaining are priests - cleaning the chalice and paten after Holy Communion LOL)
Many American corporations do because it’s a good state for them. Kinda like a small-scale Bermuda. License agreements seem to love California, in turn.Well does anyone here live in Delaware?
…Wow…DH will always give me a kiss before going to work and at bedtime.
Also, he always says thank you to me whenever I go above and beyond what is expected when he’s had an extra tough day at work.
Right now, his grandmother is seriously ill due to heart failure. We don’t think she has much longer to live. His mother is coming in from FL tomorrow and he has to work due to maintenance shut down at the water plant.
I’ve already reassured him that the house will be clean, I will help his mother with whatever she needs, and be there for his family when the time comes. This week is going to be extremely stressful to say the least. Seeing as he’s gone above and beyond when I had my stroke 4 yrs. ago, I am ready to step up even though he told me not to overdo it tomorrow as I am dealing w/chronic pain from a hernia as well as scar tissue and adhesions.
I like to put in tiny notes in his lunch to let him know that I miss him and love him a whole lot. He will call me 2x a day to make sure I have my medications and am feeling well (since my stroke he is more overly protective of me…that’s ok…it means he cares) to make dinner and care for our basset hound who has diabetes.
He is definitely a keeper as he can make awesome pasta from scratch using nothing artificial. When he has his days off, he loves to cook in order to give me a few days off. My friends are envious of this as their DHs don’t cook at all. God bless all of our spouses on CAF.![]()
