Liturgical Calendar Database

Hi everyone,

I’m not sure if this is the correct forum or if Popular Media would be more appropriate, but I would like to know if anyone knows if there is such a thing out there as a database that has the Official Catholic Liturgical Calendar. I am a Catholic software developer and would like to make a tool that would make it easier to follow daily readings, feast days, etc., perhaps even on a handheld device. I’ve found a few products out there that do something similar, but I’d like to custom write my own and don’t know where to go to find the data.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am guessing that the Easterbrooks’ calendar must be based on a database. See easterbrooks.com/personal/calendar/index.php There’s contact info on the page.

Two efforts I have used and been involved with:

  *]cal-catholic.el - For Emacs calendar-mode

  What data do you seek? The sites above have links to some things (general norms, general calendar of saints) and to the *computus *(algorithms to calculate the date of Easter).
