Could you cite a source for your quote from Cdl. Arinze? I would love to use it (at least among friends), but without being able to substantiate it it would just be a rumor.

(why we don’t have any adult catechesis is beyond my understanding) I am not going to sit back and just let them keep turning my Parish into a sissy lala community.

Pray for the souls of our fallen brethren, that through the mercy of God they may be allowed enter purgatory for a time of cleasing (scrubbing rather) before they can come before the face of God, lest they be thrown into the abyss.
 
Stephen Colbert’s “liturgical dance” is much more creative than what is usually performed by ten girls wearing albs, waving streamers on sticks, and dancing around an invisible maypole to the Celtic Alleluia. That song would be good for a hora, though.
 
So it happened today, and I had already talked to the Parish Coordinator on Friday morning.

She assured me that there would be no dance since she did agree with me it is not in the GIRM and that it is just movement.
(Movement to music is dance, isn’t it?)

Well I said my bit as respectfully as possible and stated it is forbidden to be used in the liturgy. And this is when she told me it wouldn’t be a dance.

So I let it go for now as I wanted to be fair and allow them to do their thing before I judged them. Well…
It was a dance and as expected it was designed with good intentions and poor results. From what I observed it ended up being several girls with bowls(possibly to be ready for incense) to move around the altar and swing the bowls around.

At least only about six people showed up and it seems to be more of an appeasement than an actual agenda of the Pastoral Coordinator. So I have some hope for my parish, since those seem bent on destruction of it are in the minority, just in key positions. Eventually I pray this will pass.

That’s an interesting approach she’s taking. “See that dance happening up there? That’s not a dance, it’s just movement.”

I thought they were Grecian urns.

Anyway, I agree with those who have pointed out that claiming a difference between liturgical movement (typically resembling a bowel movement) and liturgical dance are just playing sophistical games. Yet His Eminence did seem to allow for stylized processing, so there may be some wiggle room in which culturally insensitive people with good intentions might licitly play.
