Mass today was “RED” Liturgical color?
It was a Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit. A Bishop may declare such a Mass as a Votive for a special intention, in this case, it was as a prayer for the Church in America.

Will George Steinbrenner come down and try to fire the pope part way through the Liturgy?

Can Billy Martin rise again to kick some dirt on home plate and spit at Benedict?

Might the Holy Father, at last, take this opportunity to formally declare the Yankees anathama? (“Damn Yankees!”)

Got it. Where did you find this information?

I’m disappointed at the altar set up. I much prefer the “Benedictine Altar”, with seven candles and the crucifix in the middle, facing His Holiness. It seems this set-up has reverted to the way things were under Piero Marini…a period in the liturgy I would prefer to forget.
Do we have confirmation of the altar not having the “Benedictine arrangement” on the altar? Did not not Don Guido tell them to do the proper altar set up. After all, in Washington DC there was one big crucifix and the smaller crucifix with 7 candles on the altar.
