Oh dear! I forgot to change to “Regina Coeli” from the Angelus until Wednesday.
Was this a mortal sin?

No. You ‘forgot’ to do something, you didn’t deliberately do it to harm God and your relationship with him. Mortal sins aren’t accidents.
 
Wait… explain to me your reasoning as to why saying the wrong prayers is a mortal sin. OCD? I apologize if I am sounding snide right now, but in all seriousness I really want to know: How is God going to send you to Hell for praying the wrong prayers??

I suppose next you will be condemning me for still having purple rather than white in my prayer corner. I think it falls short of being grave sin if I get it changed before Pentecost. 😃

Concerns like these used to be fun before VII left so much up to the individual choice. 😦 Like can one eat meat Friday before 1 am DST since it is before midnight Thursday in real time. [That was a real question at the time.] Answer, one was free to choose either time, but had to be consistent for any individual obligation. That is, one could choose to abstain from meat midnight to midnight DST, but choose to start the Eucharistic Fast at 1 am DST [midnight real time] Sunday [It was fast from midnight in those days.]

It’s a way of commenting on the scrupulosity that seems to come out of teh woodwork in forums like these. There is nothing wrong with a healthy sense of humor and a good laugh at the way we sometimes get all worked up about things that aren’t that important.

A couple of questions: Is there any sin in saying the Angelus as well as the Regina Coeli? Is there any time limit on when one says the Regina Coeli - must each recitation be complete before the next one is due or do you still have time to catch them all up? 😃

Q 1 I should imagine not.
Q 2. I’m not sure what you mean about time and times. Regina coeli is said between Easter Day and Pentecost.
