If anyone is interested I still have some copies of the transliterated Ukrainian Divine Liturgy pew booklet (in English letters) based on the 1988 Synodal Divine Liturgy text that I can send. These were prepared by Fr. Deacon Yaroslav Bohatch of blessed memory for our parishes and missions in western Michigan. PM me if you are interested.

For myself, transliteration only confuses things as English is not consistent in how the consonant and vowel combinations inherent in Ukrainian are converted. Once you learn the alphabet, dipthongs, consonant combinations (such as the “shch”), it is not that difficult.

I would be interested. I am moving to Scotland and the only Eastern Rite church in the area is Ukriainian Catholic.

(Not really) sorry to open up an old thread, but I am looking for a Liturgy book:

“The Sacred and Divine Liturgy of Our Holy Father John Chrysostom”
by the Synod of the Hierarchy of the Ukrainian Catholic Church

from 1987. It is a blue book. Ukrainian on the left. English on the right.

My local parish has these. Somehow I imagine they would mind if I just took one of these.

Also note the differences:

И - /y/ - ɪ]
І - /i/ - **
Ї - /ji/ - [ji]
Й - /j/ - [j]

Often:

ИЙ = Ij
