Can anyone please help me - what week (1,2,3,or 4) are we in? I have the rest of the readings according to my guide but it does not tell me in the guide what week we are in. I can guess - like week i - but want to know for sure - and… How can i tell the week on my own? Thank yo so much for your answer,: Leocadia

To figure out which week we’re in, take the current week of the season (right now it’s the 5th week of Easter), divide by 4 and take the remainder. Since 1 is left over we’re in the first week of the psalter.

If this were the 19th week of Ordinary Time, divide by 4, take the remainder of 3, and we’d be in the 3rd week of the psalter. If it were the 6th week of Lent, divide by 4, take the remainder, and we’d be in the 2nd week of the psalter. Etc.

Hey, that’s a nice handy trick! I always get thrown off when the Easter season ends and we’re supposed to pick up where we left off before Lent! 😛

I agree, that is a handy trick! 👍

Thank you…now to remember that in the future. 😊

I’m not sure about the 4-Volume version, but in Christian Prayer, if you look in the Proper of Seasons for whatever Sunday we are on, it will tell you.

So when there is no remained we are in the 4th week?
