'Live PD' was canceled. But in one Texas county, its twisted legacy lives on

First off, I completely disagree with the premise of the article stated below. If anything the camera crew has officers on guard not to exceed their authority or abuse suspects.
“There is no way that pursuit would have been allowed to continue if they weren’t trying to make good TV,” Waldon said.
Now to the general question, I think any reality show can ruin the lives of it’s subjects. They will inherently add drama and misrepresent the real people involved. However, I’d rather watch a Live PD or dog catcher show than Real Wives or Big Brother programs.

Why is the word “twisted” in the headline?
Killing someone for entertainment, conspiring to destroy evidence of that murder, escalating a routine arrest to a SWAT raid for the cameras, and talking about what entertaining TV beating a defenseless suspect makes seems pretty twisted to me.
