That’s a good idea. Someone needs to make a comics reply to Chick. Fight fire with fire. Give Catholics comics to hand out to those deceived by Jack Chick’s ideas. Has anyone done it yet?
 
That’s a great idea. Many of us don’t know enough about the Saints. I didn’t know those stories. Nice comics!
 
Yeah, it’s true. The stories of the lives of the saints are things you have to search out on your own these days for the most part. Unfortunately, not many people tell these stories anymore, whether they be writers, teachers or even priests. It’s beyone me why this is.

When I was a kid the stories about John Bosco and Joan of Arc captivated me. …
I remembered the lives of the Saints more than anything in all the years of Catholic school and CCD class.
It was the memory of those stories and the description of how real people had real one on one conversations with a God that they knew on a personal level … that caused me to wonder … if they could have that … could I have that?
… those thoughts came back to me at a time in my life when I struggled with deep depression as a result of some College years gone bad.
God used the seeds he had planted through those stories to give me something to focus on and pray for… and … long story, short … we found each other in a deeper more amazing way than I could ever have imagined…
Who knows how many lives you can touch in the new generation…
Hey …They are still eating apples from the seeds that Johnny Appleseed planted… 👍

Wow, that’s a great story! Yeah, stories are important when educating children or adults. Stories are what stick with alot of people. Christ used mostly parables to teach. So, it’s important for these stories to be told. I just hope i can tell them well.

Just do the best you know how… ask for feedback and work to hone your skills … God will bless your work. Im sure of it.

If you can… try to use the illustrations and tell the stories that you create in front of a live audience… such as a CCD class for the age group you want to reach. Then ask what they liked about it … The feedback you get will help you know what works… and it will be a good way to let people know what you are doing and where to get more of your work.

I never sold my stuff but I used to draw on a large drawing pad set up on an easel as I told Bible stories to kids in class. It held their attention and really added to the enjoyment.
 
The art work really needs to improve but otherwise not bad.

When I was Catholic I was suggested this same idea and it didn’t go over well with my friends…

Thanks. Yeah, I try to improve the artwork all of the time. It’s an ongoing struggle. I really struggle with line quality. Getting the lines to communicate the right thing in a useful and, when fitting, beautiful way is my goal. It’s challenging.

You might want to try one of the how to draw books at your local book store.

I like the drawing in the comics. I kept thinking it must have been a lot of work. Please let us know when you make more.
 
Great comics so far! I love your art style - it conveys a lot of energy and movement in each panel. Like others have said, just keep practising, be determined, and you’ll see the rewards of your effort soon enough.

Thanks! As far as I know the story’s true. You can even google her general confession and see pictures of it from Rome. All burned and everything.
