Living a life of spirituality -- Our New Years day resolutions

1. I will live each day in spirituality, not in materialism. I will live above materialism.
2. I will pray more.
3. I will contemplate the Ten Commandments in their fullness. The transgression of each commandment is stealing from God or from mankind.

Those are good things to do but don’t set the bar so high that you can’t reach it and end up giving up. That has happened to me in the past when I tried to “up my spirituality.” Taking it in steps is a good thing. What you have layed out isn’t too much or too extensive but it’s hard to go from 0 to 60 in one day.

Thats good but be careful not to vow in the name of God just in case you cannot fulfill all these.

I will be far more discerning in the company I keep this year.
Also to speak in definitive terms only when I know something and not simply when its my own personal opinion.
To be more tolerant of people with opposing opinions.

To speak less and to listen more, especially to those who usually have no voice.

To support any I find who are neglected and downtrodden.

To pray for the grace of love for my fellow mankind.

To wish no harm on any who wish harm on me.

To seek true humility and not make a public spectacle of it as the Pharisees may have done.

To keep secret my charitable works

Lots more I’ll think of tomorrow I’ve no doubt.
