The liturgical year has just started, and I would like to pray with you so, during this time of preparation, by God’s grace,
we could be able to
living candles pointing to Christ’s presence for all our brothers and sisters, from within or outside the Church, and specially for our loved ones, those who You have entrusted to our care. Open their hearts so they listen to Your sweet voice. Amen.
Please, don’t forget
those who have lost their dear ones during this time and their heart keeps weeping, as they have lost their joy;
those far away from home and won’t be able to come back on time;
those with dysfunctional families and have no peace;
those of old age living in solitude as no one visits them;
those living under persecution and the horrors of war;
those who have been abandoned by their families;
those serving their sentences in prisons;
those who are bedridden and only know that life;
those who have no roof over their heads nor family to support them.
JESUS, Son of God and Son of Mary, bless our family. Graciously inspire in us the unity, peace, and mutual love that you found in your own family in the little town of Nazareth.
MARY, Mother of Jesus and Our Mother, nourish our family with your faith and your love. Keep us close to your Son, Jesus, in all our sorrows and joys.
JOSEPH, Foster-father to Jesus, guardian and spouse of Mary, keep our family safe from harm. Help us in all times of discouragement or anxiety.
HOLY FAMILY OF NAZARETH, make our family one with you. Help us to be instruments of peace. Grant that love, strengthened by grace, may prove mightier than all the weaknesses and trials through which our families sometimes pass. May we always have God at the center of our hearts and homes until we are all one family, happy and at peace in our true home with you. Amen.
God bless.
we could be able to
- be a banner of the hope that announces Christ triumph over death once and for all.
- mourn for the discord our sins have spreaded, in the solitude of the wilderness, so we can truly experience mercy.
- rejoice in the midst of the storms of our life, in spite of our frailty,
- prepare each day of our lives for Christ born in Bethlehem, Christ present now in the Blessed Sacrament and Christ coming for a second time, to judge the living and the dead.
