Hi, I converted to the faith at the Easter Vigil and I couldnt have found myself a better spiritual home than within the Catholic Church.
I dreamed of the day I would become Catholic for over a year and when I got recieved into the Holy Church as I said a few months back and Im living the dream, Im a Catholic and Ive been heavily blessed with the deepest love for Mama Mary (a year ago is was a VERY difficult dogma - doctrine to overcome for me) and Im so, so happy!
Anyway I just felt like sharing my joy with you all
The thing is that Im living at home with my parents and they arent Catholics, but yet they are quite supportive of my faith. Mom are Lutheran (in RCIA) and my dad are a believing Pentacotal even though he dosent really attend any of their services.
So again its not like they will ever try to work against my faith at any point, but the thing is that as Im living with them I do have a bedroom to myself and thats the only area in the house that I have to myself.
At my room Ive for some time been collecting relics, you know statue of Our Lady and other items such as Rosaries, a picture in frame of Pope Francis and Bottles of Holy Water.
Anyway, my room are quite intimate for me and I really dislike when they take a peak into it as I for some reason get sort of embarrased of my stuff.
And I mean it when I say its about the stuff and not about my faith as they know Im proud of being Catholic.
So, do any of you have any advice for how I can overcome this embarrasment of having these relics?
I do love to have them and I would hate to get rid of them just to get out of my meaningless embarrasment.
Yet it dont feel right to keep my parents out of my room as its their house after all.
Any advice is greatly appriciated
