We’ve lived in a few different-sized environments… The reckless driving through yards, large gang of around 30 youths on your property and the fire extinguisher through the house window don’t sound typical to me. It’s very in-your-face & crosses a line in terms of the extent of property damage and potential for harm to the homeowner & family. You mentioned frequency and I think that’s an important indicator as well. Your posts sound like you’re sort of on pins and needles and I can see why - especially because you have a baby. I don’t think you’re being unreasonable. What’s next - tagging? arson? a crack house?
I think you could find one or more of these in a pricier neighborhood: bikes getting stolen, driveway lights or mailboxes damaged, a handful of people passing through the property, squealing tires, speeding through residential areas, and the record of convicted offenders, a break in.
Like one of the other other posters said, it’s my experience too that plenty of rural people have med.-lg. breed dogs and gun-related hobbies/pastimes.
