I have just finished reading the four volume LIVING THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, written by Archbishop Christoph Schoenborn. It is published by Ignatius Press, and can be found on their website.
I don’t know about you, but I can sure use all the help I can get to understand the catechism; which was written by a committee, and reads like it. In fact, Christoph was the editor of the Catechism.
So Christopher wrote an article a week for four years, concerning the four parts of the Catechism. Gathered into four books, he fills out the bare bones of the Catechism with some informative information and insights. I read these four books over a period of two weeks during my lunch breaks at work. I am a fast reader.
If you feel the need to understand the Catechism better, this is a good place to start. I’ll probably re-read these books in a couple of years.

Sometimes I feel guilty about keeping my cats indoors 24/7. Yes, it is for their own safety. But right now all three of them spend lots of time on their window sill heated pads looking at all the birds flying around. The heads go back and forth, the tails twitch, and every now and then the teeth start chattering.
