Local accident

We had an accident this evening that killed one 8 year old child and airlifted three others to the city. This is a small town, they were having a fall festival when it happened. Please pray for my friends who are the parents of these children. These are parents that I went to school with when I was a child and know them very well. My heart is hurting for them.
 
Lord, send your Holy Spirit to this family and comfort them in their grief. May they find solace in receiving you in the sacraments and in visiting you at an adoration chapel. May they have peace in the depths of their soul and center their lives on you who alone can get them through this great trial. Have mercy on the deceased boy’s soul and grant him eternal peace. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.
 
Your community is surely so full of sadness and shock.
I ask God to help you all comfort and encourage each other. I don’t doubt that you will all rally around the families.
Loving God please flood them with Your merciful love and healing.
I ask Your healing hand upon the injured children
 
Wow, that’s harsh, man. I’m sorry this happened. I’ll be sure and say a prayer for them when I go to sleep tonight. (Which will be pretty soon, its 12:30 already ZZZzzz).

The child who died was a girl, about 8 years old I believe. Another child, also a girl is a bit younger and she is now in stable condition but may still have some internal bleeding. I have not heard any news on the other children yet. This was from an accident involving a 4 wheeler and a make shift train type set up. They were pulling the children around when it flipped over on them. My heart and prayers go out to these families, I am grateful we did not attend this event as I’m sure my 2 year old would have been on this ride.

Thank you for the prayers. If I hear any more news on the young girl whose in stable condition I will let you guys know. I know your prayers are working for her, she is a beautiful child.

Praying for the family …
 
Just to give you guys a quick update and say thank you for the prayers, I believe God is listening and taking care of the rest of the children in this accident.

Of the three that were taken to the hospital, only one is still in ICU. The doctors said she will be taken out of ICU as soon as her fever clears up. And she was just taken off of a ventilator. As fragile as these little ones are they really do heal well.

Unfortunately, the WBC showed up at the little girls funeral today and tried to protest. Our police and fire departments blocked them off, but it is so sad. They even went to the length of posting this little girls name on their web site and talking about how God hates Oklahoma.

… and may God soften the hearts of the WBC people so that they will be truly Christian.
 
Loving God we bless you for the two girls recovery, and trust that the third girl will recover.
Please continue to bless and support the family of the girl who died in the accident.
 
Deaths and seirous injuries caused by incidents are always dreadful. They can be good as well for learning lessons. I think God permitted this in order to say that we never know when our time to meet the Lord in person will come. It’s as either Pope John Paul II or Pope Benedict XVI said once “Live every day like you’re going to get run over by a bus and end up having to be judged for your life.” If children can die young, then everyone should be particularly careful of how they live each day.

Dear Lord,

Please take all the innocent children who die into your abode, and have mercy on those who nearly die so that they may continue with life and inspire others to live right. Dear Almighty and all loving God, watch over us and help us through our days when things like this happens so that the wounds heal. May we learn to mourn for others, so we may be comforted (Mat 5:5).
