This position is condemned by the Church, repudiated by the fathers, and contrary to Scripture (see above, also cf. 1
Chr. 1:1 et seq.). The 1909 Decree of the Pontifical Bible Commission reckons the unity of the human race as a fundamental truth of the Christian faith. Unity of the human race has always been understood as referring to this point, and one must understand the truths of faith in the very same sense in which they have been understood. It is also of note that the First Vatican Council intended to raise this to a dogma, indicating that it was the mind of the Church that this is truth of faith proper, not merely a theological conclusion. This is not “literal creationism” (I assume you mean “young earth creationism”), but a truth of faith has handed on in the Scriptures and Tradition.

Just as a note: Pohle, Tanquerey, Garrigou-Lagrange etc. consider this point to be certain and proximate to faith (
sententia fidei proxima). Ott is more reserved, but still lists it as theologically certain.
