Where is a good location to live in the US that has a strong catholic community. I am located in Redlands,CA and we are looking to move out of state for many reasons and living in a more conservative community would be nice. I’d like to wear a mantilla without sticking out like a sore thumb. We are considering AZ, NM, TX or any state that has a hospital that I can work in and mobile home parks for my husband to rewire- he’s an electrician. The place needs to be more affordable than CA and of course family/children friendly. Thank you.

Not Arizona. Grass doesn’t even grow there. Ugh.

And not Tallahassee, FL, if you want conservative, that’s for sure. 😛

Sorry I’m not helpful. I would love to not have to live in “mission country.”

NM has become more liberal and I would not move there. Especially Santa Fe, Albuquerque. Here in El Paso, you would not stick out wearing a mantilla, but
there are definitely more liberal than conservatives here. However, that seems to
be getting a little better. Cost of living is decent and with a new Medical School,
the largest army base and White Sands missle range very near, there would
probably be a good number of job opportunities. Also there are many, many
other Texas locations that might fit the bill. San Antonio, San Marcos, Fredricksburg,
etc. Lubbock has Texas Tech Medical School and a lot of trailer parks.
Oh, you won’t be the only one checking out Texas, we have over 1000 new people
a day coming here to live. With good work skills, most find good jobs.
