We don’t lock the doors except when the church is closed. We have cameras everywhere though.
We lock the front doors and everyone comes in the doors closest to the parking lot.
We have a minimum of 25 people each hour, and Father lives a few steps away. We’re way out in the country…but we feel safe. Father opens the church daily at 7 AM and locks it at midnight every night. When he is sick I lock it and text him to stay indoors and rest.

We’ve been waiting YEARS for a Pastor who would offer it.
The previous ones said that because we’re rural no one would come.
They come. We stopped having signups because we just don’t have to worry about it. :hugs:

We have it in the church, not a chapel though .

Wow! How big is your Parish? During the day we will have one to several, middle of the night usually one.

Last night was “my” night. Midnight lady was there when I got there just before 1 am, and the 2am lady showed up just after 2am. Otherwise, there was one homeless lady sound asleep in the chapel, but she was asleep when I got there, and still asleep when I left. Usually I’m there by myself.

Our parish normally has perhaps 1200 actually show up over the 6 masses we have.

Not huge. Maybe 1200 anglo members, about 400 Hispanic members from various countries.
We’re just really into Eucharistic Adoration. Father really promotes it. It’s not every day, Weds 6pm through Sat. until noon.

If it’s my time - it’s my time !

There were present at that season some
that told Jesus of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had
mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them,
Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans,
because they suffered such things?
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell,
and slew them, think ye that they were
sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

We have a minimum of 25 people each hour,
I don’t want to sidetrack this thread, would you kindly start a new thread where we can discuss this? Our chapel may soon be closed because of the lack of adorers. We have done everything from moving it to a safer location where it can be unlocked all of the time (and has a secure parking lot, handicapped accessible, etc.) to having a speaker from EWTN come in and do a mission. Still there are only a small handful of adorers.

Would love to know what your parish is doing right!
