Is Jesus a Prophet?

One word answer.

My reply tomorrow. (If this posts)

No? Well, He is MORE than a prophet, He is the fulfilment of prophecy.

But in the senses that, for example, He foretold the destruction of Jerusalem in the decades after His death, and the manner in which Simon Peter would die, or that He passed the Father’s message on to us, then yes He can accurately be said to be a prophet.

Mark 6:4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

He was referring to himself, so I’d say yes. But he wasn’t just a prophet. His other offices were highpriest and king (king of kings).

The OP asked for a single word. Christ is the prophecy! The one foretold. The one the prophets spoke of in the OT. He is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
This is what I intended, now that we are using more than one word. 😃

Of course he is. Christian tradition claim that Moses spoke of the coming of a “prophet” like him…to lead Israel.

I was hoping to get replies from those who follow Mohammed.

But yes he is a prophet as stated above but also much more than that.

Its amusing to have people read into a simple yes or no question.

I repeat- one word answer-
is Jesus a Prophet?
