If we look at the material World which was created from the Word of God, we can get answers that reflect the Spiritual side of our existence

To me this is the most Logical way to Balance what is right in religion and what has become the way of our own making.

Thus the Material education of man from an Infant to adult has its parallel in the Spiritual education of man from infant to adult.

Each stage sees a level of ability to take in and understand what we are being taught as a Baby, Infant, Child, teenager, Adolescence, young adult, adult and then to maturity

Viewed in this way, religion can be seen as Gods educational process for Man and that each of Gods Revelations was given at a time applicable to our Maturity.

We have passed through Adolescence quickly on to Young Adults. Now mankind is working towards its Maturity, that is the Unity of All.

I think there’s truth in this. The physical parallels and informs us about or reveals the spiritual, and humankind is educated and saved, as it grows in the knowledge of God, both individually and corporately. Not so sure about the “quickly” part tho. 🙂

Well, public Revelation ceased with the death of St. John. Hence, until the end of the world, there will be no more public Revelation. So the world isn’t exactly progressing in its “consciousness”. The Church is delving deeper into the faith, as she has ever done, but this does not change its essence. Also, man started out in a state of knowledge of God and goodness, but fell away from that, as Sacred Scripture tells us. Hence, the advance that is being advocated is really God’s continuing Revelation which culminated in the Incarnation.

However, the whole understanding presented in the beginning is based on non-Catholic and un-Catholic views of religion.

The God of Israel, the Holy Trinity, is the only true God. There is no God but Him.

His only Public Revelation has been revealed to Israel before Christ, and then to the “Israel of God” - The Church.

He has given us the “Fullness of the Truth.” Not the complete truth, but the fullness of His Revelation to Mankind.

Well, I guess I’m not sure where to start here. I didn’t even suggest that any new revelation had been given. But, speaking in broad terms, this has to do with what we’ve done with that revelation. Whether as individuals or as a community of people, it takes time for the light to penetrate; man tends to prefer his own way even when he may profess faith in God, even when that faith is valid in fact. But we can-and are expected to- grow in all the virtues, faith, hope, and love, as we grow in the* knowledge* of God-as a Church, as individuals, hopefully as a people. There is no limit to the depths of that knowledge, because there is no limit to God. Public revelation instructs us about God; but we’ll be affected and continuously changed by that knowledge until the end of time.

And whatever knowledge Adam had, it obviously didn’t sustain him in faith, love, and obedience of God. We’re here to come to accomplish just that, to, if nothing else, gain the wisdom to truly appreciate God and His goodness, ultimately embracing His light fully. Until then we’ll continue to have the world we have, light and darkness, good and evil wheat and tares co-existing, in ourselves and in the world we live in.
However, the whole understanding presented in the beginning is based on non-Catholic and un-Catholic views of religion.

Who cares if it is? The Church has grown by the light of the gospel to a maturity where she can well appreciate the truth from wherever it comes. As Augustine said centuries ago even, “All truth is God’s truth”. And that is what I addressed from the OP, that part which, IMO, in no way contradicts the gospel or Church teachings.

Could be some have passed maturity and reached senescence.
Like in Life, I think yes a decline and decay is inevitable before Spring of regrowth once more comes around.

But interestingly the world needs all the seasons, thus we need the whole process to continue including the decline.

One of the Mysteries of God

Yes it was just me thinking of the Change between Adolescence and Adult, it may not be that quick 👍

I was thinking like a rose Bloom, the growth of the Bud takes time until the bud is ready to reveal its splendor, then quickly it is open and the beauty of the mature flower can be seen.

The maturity lasts a while then the decay sets in.

I think this is why we must look at nature and the laws of Growth that Govern it. There is stagnation in the Material World, where there is Stagnation to us it is mostly barren or dead.

Could not then it be seen that a response that “Well, public Revelation ceased with the death of St. John. Hence, until the end of the world, there will be no more public Revelation. So the world isn’t exactly progressing in its “consciousness”.” may be seen as a large period of stagnation.

To me it obvious the world is progressing in its “consciousness”

As you can see if we use nature we can gain a myriad of compelling arguments that align with Life and how we live it.

Lets explore this to our world.

This Statement would be applicable to a person that was able to live and soar in the heavens above the earth always bathed in the fullness of the sun and thus would not know darkness.

Mankind is part of this earth subject to light and darkness and changing seasons.

Those that try to alter the natural Laws that Govern Creation soon find they are powerless to divert the Will and Intent of God.

Can it be seen that Nature gives us compelling arguments.

I like your statements they align with the intent of the subject.

How Life and its opposites are a mystery to us and that God is the Source of all Knowledge.

Consider what power is contained within a single atom and then consider how little we know.

The problem with progression related to religion is that it assumes something like ‘more to come’ or ‘more to be learned’ about Truth, because time passes.

Truth is either knowable, or not.

If it is not knowable, time spent is not going to accomplish or conclude with a ‘know’.

If it is knowable, it has been revealed - just need to find it, time well spent.
