Loneliness in illness

I have many illnesses that keep my family, especially my husband, away from me. I feel very lonely. My Jesus keeps me company, but I do sometimes need the comfort of a human being. I hope this isn’t wrong. Please discern this for me because I don’t want to overburden my family, and I want to only need Jesus. Thank you for your prayers. I will pray for all you also.

i am praying for you. you can message me too, anytime. when i read your post i was reminded of lepers in the bible who were shunned (no offense) and how jesus reached out and touched them, and healed them. how lonely they must have been. you are not alone. i don’t know your situation, but you are in my prayers.

No, it is not wrong to long for human company…God has made us that way. Will keep it in prayer that the needs of your humanity at a time of illness especially will be met…
 
Lord hear mom4 truth’s cry for compassion and warmth from others towards her . Lord banish this loneliness and surround her with love from friends AND HER FAMILY and let her own family be sensitive to her needs . Thank you everyone for the encouragement and prayers. Illness can make a person feel very lonely. It is especially lonely when it happens in your own home by the people you love the most. Your prayers will help me get through this life - I know it. My Jesus will get me through this as well as Our Lady of Sorrows. I pray for all of your intentions in my rosaries. God bless all of you and I will take you up on your invitation to PM those of you who have offered. Thank you all so much for your comforting words. I need a place to feel wanted. Much love,

I’m praying for you here. My husband is a truck driver and is away for three weeks at a time. A different situation from yours but I also have many health issues. I know what it is to get lonely. You are in my prayers. You are not alone! 🙂

Let me just say that it is not wrong to want the comfort of another human being. God made us to be a community in him and join together. You are right that Jesus should be all we need to he created marriage for a reason. Your family is there to help you through your struggles.
