Please please pray for me I am 25 year old female and I really don’t have any friends. I made a Catholic friend this year but she is moving far away. I spend most of my days alone, it is a hard cross to bear especially since I am still a young person. Do things ever get better?

Juliette

Yes they can get better, I know from personal experience.
May our dear Lord guide you
kind wishes, Trishie

Praying for you to make some Catholic friends. You are still pretty young. So you could go to the Catholic youth group or prayer group with people your age. I know I made friends like that when I was younger. God bless.

Yes, things will always get better, especially when it’s a new friend to make. 🙂

Lord Jesus, we ask your help for our dear sister to not feel lonely. Let her know you are always with her. Let her know all the Saints who have passed before are with her…she is never alone. Lord let her fill her days with new, real friends. Give her the confidence and the spunk to go out and make a new friend this month, let her step out of her comfort zone and smile at every one she meets. Let the right people be drawn to her for real friendship and church attendance. Holy Spirit, comfort her and let her feel your presence. Never let her feel alone when you are with her.

Step forth in courage and be happy, sister. Amen.

Yes, things will get much better for you.

When I was around your age, I was lonely too.

Pray to the Lord Jesus Christ and with our Holy Mother and things will get so much better in your life.

I shall join the others in Praying for you!

God bless

Perhaps this short video reflection on loneliness by Father Mike Schmitz may be helpful:

Loving people by serving others may help you to connect with other like-minded and like-hearted people, for example, St Vincent de Paul volunteering, feeding homeless or other ministries serving others.

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:40, NIV)

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit:
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

How about charity events, catholicmatch.com, catholicsingles.com, avemariasingles.com
Or maybe joining to seek friendships in Catholic organizations such as St. Mary’s - food bank or such. Girl things alway get better. There is many organizations and catholic events you can join. 😉

Loneliness sure is a tough cross to Bear, I suffered from real Loneliness from leaving school at 14 till about the age of around 25 , I found I had an interest in Old Time dancing ,
Things slowly began to improve from there , it was social dancing ,that was also tough because my dancing ability was like Cement blocks for shoes , but it all ended well,
Maybe you could look at something like that,🙂

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Dearest Juliette~

I will pray earnestly for you and your situation. I am well acquainted with the cross of loneliness and it is truly a difficult cross to bear. Yes,things get better and the cross you bear can become a great testament to the power and love of our Lord, Jesus Christ. That love and power has sustained me through the loneliest of times when I thought I just couldn’t go on even one more day…

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Praying for your intentions. Does your Church have any social functions. Try to become involved in such. Check out Church Singles Club.

You know sometimes we choose loneliness too because we feel insecure. I grew up with an alcoholic parent and sometimes I would isolate myself because I felt down, or that I just didnt fit in. Some people would ask me to do things but it was me who stood apart from them. I’m in my 40’s now and I only have 2 close/best friends and of course my family. But I feel blessed because my friends are very trustworthy and would never talk bad about me behind my back.

You can always PM me if you need to talk. God bless!

Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy.

Hail our life, our sweetness and our hope.

To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.

To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us.

And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb Jesus.

O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

I can’t tell you whether or not things will get better but I understand loneliness (no Catholic friends either) and will pray for you. My advice would be to work on practicing your faith alone and then if and when you do make Catholic friends it will feel like an amazing bonus.
