It’s true that the Marine Corps is a department of the U.S. Navy. It’s the Men’s department! Hoorah! :us_outlying_islands:

lol! you are good people

we could more than take care of ourselves at sea

we had to babysit you seasick, undisciplined marines

Sick? Yes. Seasick! No. We appreciate the ride, but the cuisine is below our standards.

hey look i appreciate the semper fi & all that

i served on a very large ship; she didn’t roll all that much in even heavy seas

but the grunts mostly couldn’t handle it; they were sick as dogs

and btw the officers were pretty much lazy loafers

and the enlisted marines didn’t seem to accept or understand simple commands all that well

just saying…

we had a squadron of marine f/a-18’s on board

and some ground pounders whose purpose i could never figure out

Well, this Old Colonel is going to hit the rack. Keep the faith, brother!

As an old retired diesel boat sailor, we always said, “The only good marine is a Submarine!” 🤣

Indeed, such sharp wit is a necessary survival skill for a sailor. The giving and recieving of invectives is the only art allowed him. 🤣

The three great smells of Easter: Chrism, lilies, and lamb.

jarheads on a carrier trying to figure out how to do something besides oversleep & not get seasick

3 bolters; and a 1 one & a two wire lol…
