hi all. recently i just had a major life changing experience in which i quit my ultimate team (90 percent of my friends are on there) and focused on my school and career.
This is a great thing but i lost all my f*cking friends in the process. God it feels like i’m going pyschotic here. nobody wants to hang out or do anything. i’m always the one having to frickin initiate everything here, i’m always alone on weekends. i’m trying my a** to make friends but everyone is like a stone wall.

has this happend to anyone.? and what advice do you have to offer? thanks and sorry for my language. You cannot even begin to comprehend how frustrated i feel right now.

So this life changing experience must of proven that those friends that you thought were your friends were not. It just means that you need to make new ones, ones that will be your friends through thick and thin. Those experiences are there for a reason. Sorry to put it bluntly :(.

Are you going to church? Does your parish have a group for college students and young adults? I’d suggest checking them out. I went on a retreat through my parish in college and met a lot of people.

I’m not sure what an ultimate team is, but I would guess that the personality and priorities of your old friends on the team greatly differ from that of the college students you are frustrated with. Apparently these college students have a different idea than you do of what to do for fun.

When you initiate things, it sounds like you are trying to get them to do what you find fun and maybe they don’t find that interesting. Have you tried asking what they find fun or what are they doing this weekend, and asking if you can join them?

Or maybe you need to find a different group of people to initiate things with. Are there campus activities of things you enjoy that you can go to, to meet like-minded people?
