Look at this sad nonsense

Yes. Unfortunately, I’m feeling it close to home with one of my close friends. She that it’s her calling and wants to convert to be an Episcopal so that she can eventually become an Episcopal priest. I don’t understand at all and have been praying for her. She says this isn’t the reason, but she has gotten the whole equal rights and democratic ideas mixed up religion and faith. But at the same time, she laments having to leave the traditions of her rite (not Latin Rite). I’m at a loss, especially when at one time she wanted to become a nun. How this transformation came to be boggles my mind.

Well, at least she’s acknowledging that a woman cannot be a Catholic priest, that she has to leave the Church to do that. That’s what I could never understand, why don’t these women (and all the other heterodox “Catholics” who call for the Church to change her teachings on abortion, divorce and remarriage, birth control, and homosexual relationships) just become Episcopalians? They obviously don’t believe the Church is the true Church founded by Christ (b/c the Pope and Magesterium couldn’t be wrong about so many things otherwise), so what difference does it make? Get all “smells and bells” and believe whatever you want in the Episcopal church. They’ll confirm you in your sin and call it a virtue, it’s a win win .

I also wonder, did they use the pronoun “he” at all in that service? They don’t just want an “egalitarian” church, they want a completely feministic, female dominated church. I’m surprised some of them are married, you’d think they’d all be radical lesbian separtists .

That’s the “funniest” part, actually. They acknowledge that Jesus was male – they call him brother. They don’t use the term “Father” (for obvious reasons), and they don’t even use the word “Lord” (since it has a male connotation and it implies God is a ruler of some sort over us that we must obey).

But the “priest” did use the word “he” for God once! And some of the people wouldn’t say “he”, but say “god” instead. They all say “she”, though:
May god bless you and keep you
May he be gracious to you
May she lift up the light of her countenance upon you
And may our good god give you peace

See, here’s the biggest problem. What are they actually after? Are they after equality for women as priests or are they after something far more sinister? A rewriting of the history of Christianity, Judaism, and God altogether?

In refusing to acknowledge that Jesus is “Lord” and that he revealed the First Person of the Trinity as “Father”, they are denying the historical reality of the Church and of the Catholic Christian faith.

I am sure they are looking for more than “balance”; that is, they’re not looking for equality for women in the priesthood, they’re looking for female domination of the Church, a new Rite which is female-oriented. For all their talk about the equality of gender, they sure are pushing their gender.

I doubt you will ever see one of these “priests” saying the Ordinary Form of the Mass according to the rubrics of the Sacramentary. Nor in Latin. Nor ad orientem. And you’ll never ever see one of them saying the Extraordinary Form of the Mass. They’re not interested in historical tradition, they’re interested in their own personal agenda.

Well from the pic, it doesn’t appear to be in a church, but a hotel conference room, so its probably not Catholic.

What they do is their own business. Last time I checked, we still had freedom of religion in this country.

Since when has venue been a deciding factor? Before my parish had an actual church building (some 25 years ago), they held Mass in a school auditorium. But seriously, it’s women “priests”, so it’s definitely not Catholic. They can call themselves Catholic, they can claim their Pope is Benedict XVI (as they do in the video), but so long as they are stubbornly opposed to the authority of Christ’s Church, they are separating themselves from the Catholic Church.

What they do is their own business. Last time I checked, we still had freedom of religion in this country.

They are deceiving hundreds, thousands, maybe tens of thousands with their false doctrines. Sure, they have freedom of religion, but that doesn’t stop us from complaining about it!

You’re better than me, as I couldn’t even bring myself to watch it. Why in the world would they want to do this? Everyone indeed has their place, but women in the Priesthood is not one of them! :dts:

The other night I was flipping through the channels and saw some women with what looked like the black shirt with white collar and the black pants priests wear (sorry I don’t know what they are called). It looked RIDICULOUS. Obviously I changed the channel, but it got me irritated!

This whole thing is sad.
