Look up Scripture in The Catechism

The subject reference in the Catechism is great. Does anyone know of a similar way to lookup Catechism sections by Scripture verse? (I.E. a scripture reference that points to paragraphs in the Catechism.)
 
The original first edition, with the brown cover, has an exhaustive Citation index. It lists every scripture reference, Council document, encyclical, etc cited and provides what paragraph cites it. It wasn’t in some of the later reprints. Don’t know if the second edition retained it; it isn’t in the online copy.
 
My Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2nd Edition (dark green cover) has the Sacred Scripture references in its Index of Citations at the back of the book.
 
Regarding the CCC, I am now leading a class of 6 individuals seeking to convalidate their civil marriages (and,in some cases, have their offspring baptized). These students need some or all of their sacraments of initiation.

My pastor okayed my using the *St. Joseph Edition of the Baltimore Catechism No 2. *Each student was given a copy of this plus a Bible and the *Catechism of the Catholic Church. *I have taken the liberty of linking each question with its corresponding paragraph in the CCC. When the answer in the SJEBC2 merited a better explanation, I referred to the paragraph in the CCC. There were some questions–very few, actually–that for the life of me I could not find a suitable paragraph. Some of these questions had answers best found in the Code of Canon Law (like the rules for fasting and abstinence).

When I got to lesson 15 regarding vocations, I was surprised that the CCC did not have anything referring to seminaries or priestly formation. You can search the catechism for the word ‘seminary’ and you will not find it.

For the most part, I am having fun each week with these students. Their questions indicate a sincere interest. When they find what we Catholics believe expressed in the Bible, the look of realization and discovery is priceless. Maybe someday, if the moderators approve, I will list the question numbers with their cross-references to the CCC here.

My post here may not seem proper to the topic at hand but I thought I would share my two cents.

hope somebody finds a new link to resource from the first responder

I have two books I use to compare the Sunday readings to the relevant CCC sections, that I use in RCIA
Opening Scripture from Our Sunday Visitor
and The Gospel Truth from ENedder publishers

The hard copy of the the Second Edition has the Citation Index. I checked with one of the online copies and got a dumb answer for why it wasn’t on line. Maybe someone was having a tough day.😦
