Looking For A Bible For A Carpenter

I am looking for a Book that would give versus and reflections on the reading that would protean to your trade as a carpenter.

I have a friend that is a Non-Catholic and is a carpenter. I would like to get him a book that would help him in his daily jobs so he could reflex on what he can do better to serve the lord and his customer.

In the past he has done work for me and has done it very will, but lately he has done some poor work do to one of his helpers which he no longer has working for him.

With a book like this I am hoping that he will become more faith or-dated in his trade and work like Joesph has done in his life.

He is a very good friend of mine and take pride in his work.

So if you have any books that fellow the Bible in doing a carpenters job it would be very grateful if you could pass them along.

Yes I understand that, but there has to be a special book out there that will tell you verses besides the bible. I know and he knows that the Bible is the best book written. But I feel that he needs a book to make him think all day long of a topic and that it has versus that goes with it.

I hope you understand what I am saying.
 
I understood the question. Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with devotional Bibles centered on any particular trade. There are men’s and women’s devotional Bibles that tend to be oriented toward the vocations of marriage and parenthood and generically toward “work.” There are teen devotional Bibles oriented toward unmarried youth. I think there are even devotional Bibles oriented toward alleviating difficult life situations (such as the “Chicken Soup for the Soul Bible”).

If your friend were Catholic, I’d recommend a devotional to St. Joseph (writing that reminds me of this excellent movie, actually).

You said that there a a devotional bible generically towards work, could you give me a web site that has one of these bibles?

I have no idea. Unfortuantly, I don’t have the time to do all the research that would be involved in finding one. I recommend finding a Bible bookstore that has a healthy variety and ask a sales associate for assistance.
 
Although you may not have the time what you have done was a great help in guiding me the right direction. Hopefully there will someone out there that or has had the same direction I am looking for and will come forward in give the name of a very good book that will help a business man be it a carpenter or what ever there trade maybe.
 
Devotional Bibles of this kind aren’t really a thing among Catholic bibles. For extra stuff we tend to focus on the Saints or the Church. For a Catholic approach, how about you give your friend on of the books by Opus Dei founder St. Josemaria Escriva.
