But thats ok … I think anything by Hahn is worthwhile. 👍
And u may consider signing up for Bible study classes your parish has … for adults. I’ve seen some of the teen classes watered down, never understood why. 🤷

all bible study classes take place while I am in school in my parish. 😦 I might join an apologetics group though! 🙂

Now I am debating about getting this one or the the other. of course this is just on the gospel luke so I might get the other 🤷

Since you are already familiar with Dr. Scott Hahn, you might want to try out one of his online bible studies:

I am considering working through one myself. However, I am fortunate enough to be able to attend weekly bible studies led by Jeff Cavins, in person. (His Great Adventure Bible Timeline Series are very good, if you can find one.) So, I might end up waiting until we’re off over the summer to try some of these Scott Hahn lessons out.

Here’s a bunch of great ones for you published by Emmaus Road. I’d highly recommend The Kingdom Series. These Bibles are easy to read and go through, but you’ll learn a ton:

well I already ordered Dr. Hahn’s book from amazon.

Someone said that he has been uncovered as a false teacher??? Why would they say that? I thought he was like an awesome thoelogian.

Where did you hear that from?

I’ve read Dr. Hahn extensively and he is as orthodox as they come. He certainly has his detractors and not everyone agrees with every theologian, but a charge of being a “false teacher” in the case of Dr. Hahn can only come from a spirit of jealousy, gossip, and general uncharity.

I wish to echo this sentiment. Edrward Sri and Tim Gray are absolutely fantastic! I wish this series would expand.

In one of his latest books, he is accused of calling the Holy Spirit a “She”. I think its the “First Comes Love” book. He describes the Trinity as the family, and people jump to the conclusion since a family has a father, a mother, and children.

I’ve also recently started the “Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture” series. Their website and authors are here. I’m reading Mary Healy’s Gospel of Mark right now and its incredible!

Incidentally, Scott Hahn is going to be doing *Romans *for this series and also Scott Hahn and Mary Healy will be doing Hebrews!!!

I own this book and it is fabulous. I am half way through reading it and I can’t say enough about it. It is easy to understand and exceptionally done.
It has beautiful pictures, maps and charts. You won’t be disappointed.
I want to get " The History of the Church" next.
