Hello, I lost a lot of belongings during the hurricane on the Texas coast, including my Catholic Bible. I have been reading online for the time being, but was wondering if anyone knew of any programs online to get a physical copy for free? Thanks!

You know, I’m not sure. Every bible I’ve ever had has been given to me (and the ones I did pay for, I got as gifts for other people). No harm in just asking people.

I can send you one if your in need. I don’t know if their is a private message function on here as I am new to these forums. If there is, shoot me your address and I can send one.

Give Ignatius Press a call. I think they would be highly likely to give you a “second” bible that has been very slightly damaged and cannot be sold as new. They are good people. Explain your situation.

If all else fails, PM me and i can send you a Revised English Bible w/Deuterocanon - a British edition which sought to remove denominational bias. It was produced in cooperation with the Catholic hierarchy in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. It is quite readable to Brits and Americans. Another possibility is that you can get them for about $4 on Amazon or at ThriftBooks. I consider it to be a better translation than either the NAB or NAB/RE.

I have a compact bible I ordered and can’t read it lol
If you’d like it, let me know!

It’s not a physical Bible, but it is free:

You also may try speaking to your parish priest to see if they may have one available that you can have. Bibles are a common giveaway item for different faith formation classes offered by parishes, so this may be a possibility.
